These lovely dangle earrings were created by Hopi Silversmith, Clinessia Lucas . The designs of the corn plant and squash blossom with smoke and rain clouds were explained by Clinessia “The Squash Blossoms and Corn Stalk represent our children, the young boys that help plant the corn with their dads and uncles, the young girls going through ceremony to become women along with the newborns beginning to blossom. The men smoke and sing giving their prayers and blessing to bring the rain clouds.” The earrings measure 1/2 by 1 3/4 inches, with a cut out area in the center. Clinessia’s hallmark is on the reverse side, which she describes “The hall mark it representing my Father's and Mother's Clan the Bear Paw with a C for my first name Clinessia and the Corn is the L for my last name Lucas”
